Family
- Father
- Thomas Robson
Their daughter Margaret (Mrs. Andrew Buckham, b. 1796), as Find a Grave links her, was "a native of Eckford, Roxburghshire" by her gravestone near Brampton: the parish where Jane was born. The names agree [I]: Jane's sister Euphemia (Mrs. Foster) named children Jane Clark, Thomas R. and Lucinda, her brother James a son Thomas Clark, and Jane herself children Thomas Robson, Jane and Lucinda. Thomas Robson and Jean Clark, "natives of Roxburghshire," are buried at Caledon (d. 1841 and 1844), the township where she married in 1833, and two separate trees, Find a Grave and FamilySearch, give her as their daughter; FamilySearch has them married at Eckford, her birthplace, in 1793. Her first son was named Alexander for Halkett's father, her second Thomas Robson, and her first daughter Jane, as the Scottish custom would name them for these grandparents. No record yet names her parents: her baptism at Eckford would.

Notes
Mother of Mary (Pattullo) Short and grandmother of Ruth (Short) Ellingwood. Born at Eckford, Roxburghshire, she came to Upper Canada with her parents, Thomas Robson and Jean Clark, who are buried at Caledon (record), and married Halkett Pattullo at Caledon on 12 December 1833. She bore him ten children between 1835 and 1852, the family living on his father’s farm; in 1855 they moved to Blenheim Township, Oxford County (source), and there Halkett died that June. Her daughter Mary’s marriage registration names her as Mary’s mother (record). Her maiden name was carried on in her sons Thomas Robson and George Robson Pattullo, and by her grandson Jeffrey Robson Short, Cudge Ellingwood’s partner “Jeff.”
She died on 4 April 1879, three months after her son Thomas at Barkerville and seven months before her daughter Mary’s wedding at Woodstock. Her stone at the Woodstock Presbyterian Cemetery reads “Jane Robson, widow of Halket Pattullo, died April 4th, 1879, aged 70 yrs. & 2 days. Sacred also to the memory of her husband who died in Blenheim, this county, June 7, 1855, and is buried there” (record).
Her brothers and sisters, as Find a Grave gives them: Margaret (22 Aug 1796 - 11 Feb 1879), wife of Andrew Buckham, buried at Mayfield, near Brampton, under a stone that calls her “a native of Eckford, Roxburghshire, Scotland”; James (1800-1876), “a native of Roxburghshire,” buried with his wife Esther Dixon at Dixon’s Union Cemetery, Caledon, near his parents, who named a son Thomas Clark Robson; and Euphemia (1803-1889), wife of William Foster, buried at the Melville White Church, Caledon, beside the Pattullos, whose children included Jane Clark Foster, Thomas R. Foster and a Lucinda, names Jane gave her own children too (source).
