EllingtreeResearch Archive(E.R.A.)
In 1635 Ralph Ellinwood, aged twenty-eight, sailed from London on the Truelove; the point he farmed at Beverly is still Ellingwood Point. This archive follows him and the families joined to his, fifteen lines in all: a Somerset yeoman charged with a bow and a sheaf of arrows at the musters of 1569, passengers on the Mayflower, sea captains out of Plymouth and Deer Isle, Flynns who left Cove of Cork in 1825, a peddler from White Carniola who landed in New York with a gold piece in his shoe and helped found Almena, Wisconsin, a steamboat captain of the Alaska gold rush, and the founder of a printing-machinery firm in Seattle.
