Robert Rand 1686–1752

The Rand genealogy lists her among the children of Robert Rand, joiner, and Susanna Cheever ("Susanna, born February 12, 1715 ... married March 18, 1742, Israel Ellenwood"), and the Suffolk guardianship of 1753 gives Israel's son a portion "in right of his Grandfather Robert Rand late of Boston Joyner."

Mother
Susanna Cheever 1682–1748

Her birth is recorded to Robert and Susanna Rand, and Robert Rand the joiner had married Susanna Cheever in 1709/10.

His fate is unknown; she was presumably his widow when she married Israel two years later.

Notes

Wife of Israel Ellingwood, married at Boston on 18 March 1741/2 (record). The daughter of Robert Rand, a Boston joiner, and Susanna Cheever (source). Her intention with “Jumanuel DeRivers” was marked “forbid” on 10 March 1738/9 (“Forbid by Benjamin Lord”, the Rand genealogy adds), but she married “Emanuel Derevers” all the same on 5 April 1740, so she was very probably a widow when she married Israel. She owned the covenant at First Church in November 1742 (record), had five children by 1748, and was dead by 1752.
