From the research files. Susanna Rand, daughter of Robert Rand of Boston, joiner (1686-1752), and Susanna Cheever (1682-1748), daughter of Richard and Abigail Cheever; her intention with "Jumanuel DeRivers" in 1739 "Forbid by Benjamin Lord." Robert Rand's estate gave a portion to each of Israel Ellingwood's children in 1753.

Read in the archive.org full text (https://archive.org/details/genealogyofrandf00rand) for the Lynn Rands (Woodbury, Rand–Cheever–Ivory and Slater lines behind the Ellingwoods): Robert of Lynn, "a farmer at 'Woodend' in the northerly part of Lynn; was living there in 1649, and died there, November 8, 1694. His wife, Elizabeth, died August 29, 1693," made a son of Robert and Alice of Charlestown on T. B. Wyman's late, unpublished opinion (pp. 9-11); "7. ROBERT, son of Robert (2), Lynn; born about 1653; died December 6, 1717, in 64th year; married the last of January, 1684, Tabitha, daughter of Thomas Ivory, of Lynn," with their children (p. 13); and "22. ROBERT, son of Robert (7), Boston; joiner; born October 6, 1686; died February 11, 1752; gravestone in Granary Burial ground," with his eight children (pp. 20-21). No. 27 (p. 23) is the other Robert Rand, sailmaker, b. Charlestown 18 June 1684, son of Thomas, who "married May 2, 1709, Elizabeth Welch."

For King Philip's War (research/king-philips-war/): Robert Rand's sister Mary married Nathaniel Kirtland (pp. 13-14); a Philip Kirtland of Lynn was credited in Capt. Brocklebank's company on 24 July 1676, the company in which Robert Rand was credited on 24 Mar 1675/6 (Bodge, p. 207). Their kinship is not shown.
