• “Ames Walbridge, (1727-93), served in the Connecticut line from 1775-81. He was a charter member of the Society of the Cincinnati. He was born in Norwich; died in Stafford, Conn.”
• “Josiah Converse, (1710-75) responded to the Lexington Alarm from Stafford and was a member of the General Court.”
• “Israel Converse, (1743-1806), served as sergeant at the Lexington Alarm and as captain, 1780, of Conn. militia. He was born in Stafford, Conn.; died in Randolph, Vt.”
