Hannah Converse
Probably the mother of Marion Orinda Cummings, who married Marvin Chapin. By the family history Kith and Kin she was born at Randolph, Vermont, in 1785, the ninth child of Col. Israel Converse and Hannah Walbridge, married Joseph Cumins there in 1808, and died at Grand Detour, Illinois, in 1856.

Marion Chapin’s mother, the ninth child of Col. Israel Converse, a sergeant at the Lexington Alarm and afterwards judge of probate at Randolph, Vermont, and his second wife Hannah Walbridge, daughter of Maj. Amos Walbridge of the 2nd Connecticut (source). She married Joseph Cumins at Randolph in 1808 and died at Grand Detour, Illinois. Her mother followed the family west and died at Parkman, Ohio, in 1830.
