What it says

Marriage intention of Elisha Holbrook and Sarah May(o), 1 Apr 1742, and their marriage, 13 May 1742. The marriage is indexed once as “Annah Mayo,” a misreading.

Also the record of John Mayo and Hannah Lecraft’s marriage and children (MD 6:205), with “Also a Sonne named Danyell borne the five and twentyeth of June in the yeare one thousand Six hunderd Sixty foure”; Mary Mulford’s birth, “the twenty Sixth day of June : In the yeare : 1695,” and Thomas Mulford and Mary Bassett’s marriage, 28 Oct 1690 (MD 8:93).

The Coles and the Holdershaws, read in the Cape Cod research (research/ellingwood/Ellingwood_Cape_Cod.md, October 2026): “mary Cole and Sarah Cole Daughters of Joseph and Sarah Cole was born at Eastham on ye 9th day of September 1738,” with Reuben (1742/3), Abiel (1745) and Henry (1748) (Eastham records p. 60, MD 16:70; checked); “Joseph Cole the Son of Joseph and Mercy Cole,” 18 May 1718 (MD 15:57); John Cole and Ruth Snow’s marriage, 12 Dec 1666 (MD 5:196); and the intention of “John HolderShaw & Sarah Cole,” both of Eastham, 4 Apr 1760, married 4 Dec 1760 (Eastham records p. 174).

Also, from the Cape Cod research and checked in the archive.org text of The Mayflower Descendant: “Daniell Cole his Children / a sonn named John born 15 July 1644,” with Timothy (1646), Hephzibah (1649), Ruth (1651), Israel (1653) and James (1655) (MD 5:23); “Joseph Cole the son of John Cole was borne the : 11th : of June in the year : 1677” and Ruth, “the wife of John Cole Senior dyed January ye 27th 1716/17” (MD 5:196-197); the children of “Joseph and Mercy Cole”: Mercy 24 Sept 1716, Joseph 18 May 1718, Mary 30 Apr 1721 (MD 15:57); “John Shaw the Son of George and Constant Shaw was Born the Sixth day of October anno dom 1700” (MD 3:229) and “June 18 : 1735 then John Shaw Son of John & martha Shaw was born” (MD 17:36), the birth the Ancestry tree wrongly gives to John Holdershaw.
