John Cole
The eldest child of Daniel Cole of Eastham, Massachusetts, born there in 1644. He married Ruth Snow, probably a daughter of Nicholas and Constance (Hopkins) Snow, in 1666, and in old age settled his lands, among them his share of his father's Harwich lands, on his son Joseph; he was living in 1714/15. Great-grandfather of Sarah (Cole) Holdershaw.

Great-grandfather of Sarah (Cole) Holdershaw. The eldest child of Daniel Cole of Eastham, born there on 15 July 1644, the year after his father moved from Yarmouth; his brothers and sisters were Timothy (1646), Hepzibah (1649), Ruth (1651), Israel (1653), James (1655), Mary (1659, m. Joshua Hopkins) and William (1663) (record, source). On 12 Dec 1666 he married Ruth Snow, daughter of Nicholas and Constance (Hopkins) Snow, and their son Joseph was born on 11 June 1677. In old age he settled his lands: on 20 July 1713, “In Consideration of my Reall Love & good will unto my naturall son Joseph Cole of Eastham,” and on 29 Jan 1714/15 his right in his father’s Harwich lands (record). Paine lists a daughter Ruth, who married William Twining.
