- Vol. 9: Samuel, “of Hopestill & Elizabeth Foster born Dec. 27” [1676]; Rebecca, “of Samuel & Rebecca Foster born Apr. 10” [1699]; the Foster children Elizabeth (26 July 1669) and Mary (22 July 1671); “John of John & Mary Kneeland born Nov. 29” [1668] and the other Kneeland children; the drowning of Joseph Briscoe, 1 Jan 1657/8 (9:61).

- Vol. 2: William Briscoe admitted 24 Feb 1639/40 “to have a great Lott, for eight heads, at the mount” (2:48).
No birth of a Thomas Thompson about 1744 is in vol. 24, and no birth of Rachel Kneeland.
Also in vol. 9: the first First Church baptisms, “Joy & Recompence daug[hters] of John Milles 8 mo.” [1630] (9:1); “Joseph Brisco was married to Abigail Compton dau. of John Compton 30th — 11th mo. by William Hibbins” [1651/2]; “Joseph of Joseph and Abigail Brisco born August 21st” [1658] (9:65) and his baptism as “Joseph of Abigail Brisco”; “Abraham Busby & Abigail Brisco widdow were married 23rd Sept. by John Endecott Gov.” [1659]; “Cecile wife of William Brisco deceased the 9th of December” [1661]; and the children of Joseph and Rebecca Brisco from “Rebecca of Joseph & Rebecca Brisco born Sept. 16” [1679] (9:148, OCR damaged) to 1696. NEHGR 178:35 cites vol. 24, p. 7, for Samuel Foster’s birth, 25 June 1701, which the OCR did not show. Vol. 2 also has the Book of Possessions entry for William Briscoe’s house, “bounded with Robert Walker east: the Common north: the streete south,” and his choice as an overseer of fences at Muddy River in 1642 and 1647.

Salter & Susanna Mulberry,” 1744 (28:262), the marriage the Ancestry tree misread as Sarah Slater’s
mother’s; “Asa Stodder & Mary Slatter. Int. reads [Stoddard] [Slater],” by Rev. Samuel Stillman, Nov.
24, 1765 (vol. 30, p. 58). Vol. 10, Miscellaneous Papers (https://archive.org/details/reportofrecordco10bost_0),
prints the will of Robert Keayne, 1653: “Item I give & bequeath to Robert Rand of Lyn sometime my
servant forty shillings to be payd him within two yeares after my decease, if he be then liveing in
this country” (10:25; checked).
