Sarah Ellingwood

A family page of the town’s later compiled register: “The family of Ralph and Sarah Ellingwood,” their eight children with births, marriages and deaths, and “Ralph Ellenwood married to Sarah Woodberry of Salem 1712.” In the margin, the division of Ralph’s estate in 1743, “Israel 2 shares,” and “Israel Ellingwood of Boston, coaster,” guardian of his brother Daniel. Below are Martha and Ebenezer of Ralph and Martha, and other Ellingwood families of Beverly.

An opening of the town’s copy of the church baptisms, with the father’s given name and the mother’s or family’s surname for each child. In June 1713, “Sarah … Ralph j[r] … Sarah Ellingwood”; on 3 Oct 1714, “Israel … Ralph j[r] … Ellingwood”, the entry that joins the Beverly Ellinwoods to the Boston Ellingwoods. The “j” marks other fathers on the page too, so it reads as junior. This FamilySearch image replaces an earlier screenshot of the same page.
