Wife of Capt. James Ginn, married at Gloucester 3 June 1768, and a great-granddaughter of the Gloucester town clerk Thomas Riggs. Rufus Buck: "He married Anne Riggs, of Gloucester, Mass., by whom he had six sons and six daughters. The only surviving child is William R. Ginn, who is extensively known as the best ship-builder on the river" (BHM 1:105, written by 1857).

Her first four children were recorded at Gloucester before the move to the Penobscot: James 3 Apr 1769, Anne 30 Apr 1771, Abraham 7 Jan 1773, and Samuel, baptized 12 Mar 1775 (VR 1:277, 283).

Her birth, "Jan. 17, 1747," is printed without a double date. Her sister Mary was born Oct. 20, 1745, so 1746/7 is as possible as 1747/8 (inference).
