Probably a daughter of John Nickerson and Sarah Bassett of Harwich, Massachusetts, as the Nickerson genealogy has it; no birth record has been found. She married Joseph Cole Jr. of Eastham at Harwich in 1737, had five children at Eastham, among them the twins Mary and Sarah, born in 1738, and joined the Eastham church with him in 1774. Her daughter Sarah was probably the wife of John Holdershaw.

“Sarah Nickerson of harwich” married Joseph Cole Jr. of Eastham at Harwich on 17 November 1737 (record). Their children were born at Eastham: the twins Mary and Sarah on 9 September 1738, Reuben (1742/3), Abiel (1745) and Henry (1748) (record). Joseph, born at Eastham in 1718, was a son of Joseph Cole and Mercy Hinckley, and through the Coles a descendant of Daniel Cole of Eastham; he and Sarah joined the Eastham (Orleans) church in 1774, and he died in 1795 (source).
