Mary Prior
Wife of Matthew Prior of Killingworth upon Matinecock, near Oyster Bay, Long Island, and probably the mother of John Prior and Elizabeth (Prior) Feke, through whom she is twice an ancestor of the Frosts. Her maiden name is not known. A widow by 1693, she died in July 1700, and the family genealogists believed she was buried with her husband in the Underhill burying ground at Killingworth.

The Quaker 5th month, before 1752, is July: 4 July 1700 ("d. 4/5 mo. (July) 1700," Cock genealogy, p. 290). The place is the compilers' belief.

Notes
Wife of Matthew Prior of Killingworth upon Matinecock, and mother of John Prior and Elizabeth (Prior) Feke, through whom she is twice an ancestor of the Frosts. “His wife Mary (maiden name unknown)” (source, p. 290); WikiTree’s “Mary Clark” has no source.
She was a widow by July 1693, when her daughter Martha’s Quaker marriage was recorded as that of “Simon Cooper son of Mery Cooper of Oyster Bay and Martha Pryer dau. of Mery Pryer of Matinecock” (source, p. 291). She died in July 1700, and the compilers thought she and Matthew were “doubtless laid in the Underhill Burying Place at Killingworth, where stones with Prior initials are seen” (p. 290).
