Notes

Grandmother of Mary (Cock) Frost: a daughter of Matthew Prior of Killingworth upon Matinecock, and sister of John Prior, the grandfather of Isaac Frost. She married John Feke, son of Lieut. Robert Feake and Elizabeth Fones, at Killingworth in September 1673, by the Friends’ record (source, p. 287). They lived on the land Captain Underhill had given John on the Underhill tract, near her father’s, and Friends’ meetings and marriages were held in their house (p. 10).

She had nine children between 1674 and 1695 (see John Feke), and died at Killingworth in January 1701/2, at forty-five. Her second daughter Hannah married James Cock and was Mary (Cock) Frost’s mother; her son Robert was the father of the painter Robert Feke (source, p. 14).
