Susanna Humphrey
Wife of Nicholas White of Taunton and daughter of Jonas Humphrey, whose will of 1662 names her. Probably the mother of Nicholas White (d. 1727/8), who married Ursula Macomber.

Wife of Nicholas White of Taunton. Savage says Jonas Humphrey came from Wendover “with ch. James, Jonas, and prob. Eliz. and Susanna,” so she was probably born at Wendover, Buckinghamshire (inference from Savage).
Open questions
- Who was her mother? Her father’s wife Frances is on record at Dorchester in 1638, and compiled trees give their marriage at Wendover in 1607, unverified. His second wife, Jane, widow of George Weeks, came later.
