Mary White
Wife of Capt. Daniel Read of Attleborough, married in 1741, and probably the mother of Hannah Read, who married Ebenezer Tyler. Born at Norton, Massachusetts, to Matthew White and Damaris Dean; her widowed mother's marriage to Benjamin Tree of Attleborough in 1731 probably explains how she came to live there.

Notes
Wife of Capt. Daniel Read of Attleborough. Mollie Pfeiffer wrote that she “lived for some reason, in Attleboro.” Her widowed mother married Benjamin Tree of Attleborough in 1731, which probably explains it (inference). Her brothers and sister (Norton VR p. 157): Seth, 26 June 1716; Benjamin, 1722; Dameras, 1724/5. Through her mother’s second marriage she had a half-sister, Mary Tree, born 22 Sept 1732 (Lothrop).
Lothrop lists eleven children born to her between 1742 and 1764, the last, William, on 27 Dec 1764. She died on 23 Sept 1775, within eleven days of her sons David (12 Sept), aged twenty-six, and Ezra (21 Sept), aged fifteen. Three of her daughter Hannah’s sons died in the following week (Attleborough VR deaths).
Mollie's typescript
Mollie's White chart gives her birth on 5 Dec 1720 and her marriage to Capt. Daniel Read.

Checked against the records
- ProvenMary White lived, for some reason, in Attleboro
True, and the reason has turned up. Her father died before 1731, and on 29 April 1731 her widowed mother Damaris married Benjamin Tree of Attleborough (Norton vital records). Mary presumably moved there with them.
