Susan Marriah Adams
Probably the mother of Jennie (Elliott) Ellingwood and the wife of Charles Franklin Elliott, and probably a daughter of Lewis M. Adams and Jane Deyoe of Wilton, Saratoga County, New York, in whose household she was in 1850. Born in 1837, at Saratoga Springs as the Ancestry tree has it, she died in 1926 at Evanston, Illinois, where Jennie lived on in the family house after Finley Ellingwood's death.

Mother of Jennie (Elliott) Ellingwood, who was born at Saratoga, New York. The daughter of Lewis M. Adams and Jane Maria Deyoe of Wilton, she was in her father’s household there in 1850, and in 1860 she and Charles F. Elliott were at Wilton with Jennie (record). Her other children were George Leonard Elliott (1861-1928), Laura Elizabeth (Mrs. Haskins, 1866-1914) and Harriet E. (Mrs. Zaneis, 1871-1937) (source). She died at Evanston, where Jennie lived on in the family house after Finley’s death.
