Notes

Wife of Capt. Timothy Mather of Lyme, and a daughter of Rev. Moses Noyes, the town’s first minister, and Ruth Pickett, a granddaughter of Jonathan Brewster (source). Her mother died when she was about seven. Her daughters Ruth and Catharine married the brothers James and Elisha Marvin, and the Picketts’ surname came with them into the Marvin family as a Christian name; her son Moses became a minister like her father.

Through her the Hatten line descends from the Noyeses of Newbury and Cholderton and from Elder William Brewster of the Mayflower.
