John Wheeler
Of Concord, Massachusetts, where he was born in 1643/4, possibly a son of George Wheeler, and was made constable in 1684. He married Sarah Larkin in 1663/4 and died at Concord in 1713. Probably the father of Joanna (Wheeler) Woodbury. He is a different man from John Wheeler of Salisbury and Newbury, the father of Henry Wheeler.

Father of Joanna (Wheeler) Woodbury. Of Concord, where he was made constable in 1684 and is “m^r John wheeler” at his death in 1713 (record). He married Sarah, daughter of Edward Larkin of Charlestown, in March 1663/4; their children, as the Wheeler genealogy lists them: Samuel (1664), Sarah (1666), Edward (1669), Joanna (21 Dec 1671), Mary (1673), Lydia (1675, m. Timothy Wheeler and Nathaniel Stow), Esther (1678), and the twins Ebenezer and Thankful (1682; Thankful m. Jonas Prescott) (source).
He is a different man from the John Wheeler of Salisbury and Newbury (john-wheeler-1591), father of
Henry Wheeler.
Open questions
- His probate (Middlesex, 1713), which should name his daughter Joanna Woodbury.
