Notes
Sister of Mary (Jeffrey) Short. She came to Canada with her family about 1820 and married in July 1822, a month before her sister Isabella. Her husband, a Mr. Grigg, had died by 1861, when “Jane Gregg” was living at Peterborough with her daughter Mary. In 1871 she was with her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Thomas Douglas, in Fenelon Township, Victoria County, described as a retired nurse, and in 1881 with Mary and William Douglas on a farm there (the censuses, transcribed by R. Alex Collins, as WikiTree gives them). She died in Fenelon Township in September 1887 (source).
