Read in the Cape Cod research (research/ellingwood/Ellingwood_Cape_Cod.md, October 2026): “october the 1 day 1737 Then Joseph Cole jur of Eastham and Sarah Nickerson of harwich entered their intention of marriage”; “November the 17 day 1737 then Joseph Cole of Eastham and Sarah Nickerson of harwich ware married in harwich by me Joseph Doane Justice a peace.” Also “october 6th 1715 Then Joseph Cole & marcy hinkly were married in harwich,” and “April 18 day 1728 Then John Rogers and Sarah Nickerson both of harwich” (the widow of John Nickerson).
