What it says

Screenshots, 10 Oct 2026. The family links are the contributors’ (compiled).

  • Thomas Robson, memorial 88997126, Dixon’s Union Cemetery, Caledon, Peel. Birth unknown, Roxburgh, Scottish Borders; died 16 Dec 1841. Spouse: Jean Clark Robson, unknown-1844. Children: Margaret Robson Buckham (1796-1879), James Robson (1800-1876), Euphemia Robson Foster (1803-1889), Jane Robson Pattullo (1809-1879), and more below the screenshot’s edge. Two photographs by Rev Sue: the column and its panel (gravestone-thomas-robson-1841).
  • Jane Robson Pattullo, memorial 218711148, Woodstock Presbyterian Cemetery. Born 2 Apr 1809, Eckford, Scottish Borders; died 4 Apr 1879, Woodstock, aged 70. “Jane Robson married Halket Pattullo on 12 Dec 1833, Caledon, Ontario, Canada.” Parents: Thomas Robson, and (below the edge) presumably Jean Clark. Spouse: Halket Pattullo. Her stone, photographed by Lynda Carrington, is gravestone-jane-robson-1879.

Jane’s brother and sisters, from later screenshots the same day (all three memorials give Thomas Robson and Jean Clark Robson as parents):

  • Margaret Robson Buckham, memorial 127826940, Mayfield United Cemetery, Brampton, Peel. Born 22 Aug 1796, Roxburgh; died 11 Feb 1879, aged 82. Spouse Andrew Buckham (1800-1861); child Jane Buckham Fead (1827-1873). Her stone (photograph by Nettles): “In memory of Andrew Buckham, native of R[oxburgh?]shire, Scotland, who died April 22, 1861, Æ. 61 yrs 1 mo & 8 dys. Also Margaret Robson, wife of the above, born Aug. 22, 1796, died Feb. 11, 1879, a native of Eckford, Roxburghshire, Scotland.”
  • James Robson, memorial 88997027, Dixon’s Union Cemetery, Caledon. Born 1800, Roxburgh; died 4 Dec 1876. His stone (photographs by Rev Sue): “James Robson, died Dec. 4, 1876, aged 76 yrs & 5 [?] ds [?], a native of Roxburghshire, Scotland. Also Esther Dixon, wife of the above, died May 16, 1874, aged 50 [?] yrs, a native of [Donegal?], Ireland.” The panel is on the pedestal of a tall column that looks like the one over Thomas Robson and Jean Clark, photographed by the same contributor: very possibly one family monument. Spouse Esther Dixon Robson (d. 1874); children Louisa (1845-1918), Lavina (1849-1919), Thomas Clark Robson, and more below the screenshot’s edge.
  • Euphemia Robson Foster, memorial 35766290, Melville White Church Cemetery, Caledon, plot 135. Born 1803, Roxburgh; died 1889. Her stone (Rev Sue): “William Foster 1808 - 1880 / his wife / Euphemia Robson 1803 - 18[89?] / Thomas R. Foster 184[5?] - 192[?] / his wife / Catharine MacDonald …” Spouse William Foster (1808-1880, m. 1835); children Jane Clark Foster McLaren (1836-1875) and Lucinda Foster (1838-1843), and more below the edge.

What it shows:

  • The Robson and Clark stone stands at Caledon, the township where Jane Robson married Halkett Pattullo in 1833 and where the Pattullos farmed. Two Roxburghshire people of the right age, buried in her own township, and given her as a daughter by two separate online trees (Find a Grave and FamilySearch): her parents, very probably.
  • Her brothers and sisters, by these links: Margaret (Mrs. Buckham), James and Euphemia (Mrs. Foster), born 1796-1803, as a family from a 1793 marriage would be, all buried in Caledon or near Brampton, all of Roxburghshire, Margaret expressly “of Eckford,” Jane’s own parish.
  • The names repeat across the four families [I]: Euphemia named her first daughter Jane Clark (1836) and had a Thomas R. and a Lucinda; James named a son Thomas Clark; Jane (Robson) Pattullo named children Thomas Robson (1837), Jane (1839) and Lucinda (1846). Grandparents’ names given in each family, and an uncommon name, Lucinda, shared by two sisters’ daughters.
