Notes

Bought part of the estate of a James Reed at its sale in Clay County, Kentucky, in 1841, with “Mrs Reid” and William Reid (Attride compilation; the record has not been seen). The master tree lists him among James’s children under the Clay reading.

A Samuel Reed was one of Morgan County, Indiana’s first four justices of the peace in 1822; nothing yet connects him to James.
