Notes
“Mary the wife of Elisha Bigford” in her father’s will (1754). Her stone at Duck Creek: “Mary, wife of Capt. Elisha [Bickford] died 19 May, 1793, at 6 o’clock p.m., in her 63d year.” With two sisters married to men named Elisha, a compiler may have attached “Mary” to Elisha Holbrook, one possible source of Mollie’s “Mary Mayhew.”
