Joseph Woodworth
Probably a son of Joseph Woodworth, born at Little Compton, Rhode Island, on 17 Mar 1696. He married Ann Manchester in 1723 and moved to Lebanon, Connecticut, in 1734. Probably the father of Lemuel Woodworth (b. 1735), the youngest of seven children, and of Abner, the shoemaker who in old age walked to Pompey, New York.

Son of Joseph Woodworth, born at Little Compton, Rhode Island. “JOSEPH, b at Little Compton, R. I., March 17, 1696, m Ann Manchester Oct. 17, 1723, moved to Lebanon, Ct., 1734” (source). In 1739 his father, also at Lebanon, deeded land to his sons. Children: Abner, 2 August 1724, a shoemaker who settled at Salisbury, Connecticut, and in old age walked to Pompey, New York, “carrying with him his kit of shoemaker’s tools, and driving a cow”; Judith, 1726; Ruth, 1728; Sarah, 1729; Walter, 1731; Zebedee, 1733; and Lemuel, 25 June 1735.
