Notes

Wife of Richard C. Fairchild and mother of Elizabeth (Fairchild) Frost. The daughter of Lemuel Woodworth and Lydia Winter, who had come to East Jewett from Scott’s Patent in 1806; her sister Hannah married Richard’s brother Henry, and her double first cousin Sally Winter married his brother Edward (source). Married Richard in July 1829. With her husband at La Grange, Wisconsin, in 1860 (record), and with him to Iowa in 1865; she died at Marion in 1891 and is buried at Oak Shade Cemetery (source).

Through her father she descends from Walter Woodworth of Scituate (1635) and, very probably, from John Stockbridge of the Scituate mill. This line does not depend on the Fairchilds.

The Ancestry tree’s “Lemuel G. Woodworth” and “Lydia Hannah Winter … of New London” have no sources for the middle initial, the middle name or the place.
