p. I26 →On a family trip east Cudge and his children spent about three days with Wink and Ka at Arlington, Vermont.
We drove up through Maine and New Hampshire and over into Vermont to see Wink and Ka. They and Chuck met us at some town--it may have been Brattleboro.
p. I37 →Wink, at Arlington, Vermont, was in on Cudge's mock newspaper advertisement aimed at Bill Lee, and was the one who gave the joke away.

That Wink shall be the comptroller of the treasury and that payments shall be made to him and by him to Mother.
