Daniel Read
Of Rehoboth, where he was born in March 1655, a son of John Read and probably of Sarah Lessie. He married Hannah Peck in 1677, and their six children were recorded there from 1678 to 1690, among them Daniel (b. 1680), who married Elizabeth Bosworth and Elizabeth Ide.

"The elder Daniel died Oct. 17, 1710" (J. W. Reed, p. 234). No death record seen.

Children (Rehoboth VR p. 723): Hannah, June 30, 1678; Daniell, Jan. 20, 1680; John, Feb. 25, 1682 (buried 1 Mar 1682/3); Sary, 1684; Noah, 1687; Abigail, 1690. J. W. Reed adds that Hannah married Daniel Taft of Mendon on 28 July 1703, and that Noah died on 20 Oct 1710, three days after his father.
His father’s will of 6 Jan 1679 names sons Moses, Daniel and Israel (WikiTree Read-42, citing Bowen, Early Rehoboth 3:163; compiled).
