Notes

Wife of Rev. William Noyes, rector of Cholderton, and sister of Rev. Robert Parker, the learned Puritan who “was driven to Holland for non-conformity” (source); Rev. Thomas Parker, who sailed with her sons in 1634 and was minister at Newbury, Massachusetts, was her nephew. Widowed in 1622, she administered her husband’s estate and lived on at Cholderton for thirty-five years. Her will, made 18 March 1655 and now at Somerset House (Wootton 130), gives “one shilling to each of my sons, James and Nicholas, now in New England,” and names her son-in-law Thomas Kent of Upper Wallop. She was buried at Cholderton on 7 March 1657, aged 82 (source).

Her parents are not identified.
