Wife of Jotham Chapin of Monson and Winfield, and mother of Loring Chapin (b. 1790), Sally (Mrs. Vose Palmer, 1791-1868) and Marvin (1798-1816). The Chapin Book names her “Ann Waite” and her son as “son Jotham & Ann (Waite) Chapin” (source); her great-granddaughter Ella (Chapin) Browne entered her in her DAR application (1900) as “Anna Wait” (source). Neither gives her dates or her parents.
