What it says

Births of the children “of Matthias Ellis and Lucia [Lucy] his wife,” 1743-1763, several with the day of the week, seen on FamilySearch: “George Ellis the Son of Mathias Ellis and by Lucia his Wife Was Born May the 10th 1747.”

Also, from the Mayflower Descendant transcripts:

  • “Lucia Bennet the Daughter of Joseph Bennet Junr & of Thankfull his wife was born October 2 1725” (MD 6:228), and her brothers and sisters (MD 7:243, 9:48, 12:230, 15:24).
  • “Leiut Joseph Bennet the Son of Capt Peter Bennet Deceased January the 3rd 1741/2” (MD 15:24).
  • The children of Joel and Elizabeth Ellis (MD 9:47-48).
  • The publication of “Mr. George Ellis of Middleborough & Mrs. Phebe Stephens of Plimpton,” May 1773 (Middleborough VR 2:75).

The Ellis-Bennett marriage of 7 Apr 1743 (MD 30:8) has not been seen.
