Notes
Of Scituate. Married “Mehetable Bucke” on 6 Nov 1679. Their children, from the Scituate records (VR 1:67-68): Rebekah 1680, Thomas 1683, Mehetable 1686, Sarah 1688, Jael 1691, Martha 1694.
His brother Benjamin was killed with Capt. Michael Pierce in the ambush of 26 Mar 1676, and, by Deane’s account, his father Isaac fell defending Scituate the same spring, which is doubted (Deane, pp. 123, 232; see Isaac Chittenden).
He and his brother-in-law Joseph Garrett were sworn on 9 July 1695 as administrators of his father-in-law Lt. Isaac Buck’s estate, and returned the inventory (Plymouth County Probate 1:222, transcribed in Byron Buck’s genealogy).
