Finley Ellingwood’s youngest brother: 7 in the 1870 census at Kankakee (record), and in January 1875 “an orphan minor of the age of ten years”, when the court appointed Finley his guardian (record). A printer at Pueblo, Colorado (Cudge’s memoir), where he died in November 1918.

Finley's younger brother Ellsworth gave his name to a baby son of Finley's who lived only a few weeks.
A baby boy had been born between Jim and Wink and was named Ellsworth after my father's younger brother. However, he lived only a few weeks.
p. 3 →Finley told his children how his brother Ellsworth, a printer at Pueblo, Colorado, left his hand under a power paper trimmer whose knife stopped an inch above it, which Finley took for God's intervention.
He said that Uncle Ellsworth, his brother, who had moved to Pueblo, Colorado, and was in the printing business, had been working in his shop. He was operating the power paper trimmer.
