Brother of Halkett Pattullo, and the youngest of Alexander and Jean's sons. A baptism of "Thomas Pitully" in 1817, naming his mother Jean Watson, is indexed on FamilySearch (source), and a printed genealogy gives his birth as 8 April 1817 (source). He came out to Caledon with his mother in 1823.

"Thomas was injured by a falling tree and died of the effects," Trimble's history says (as WikiTree quotes her, source). A death notice of 1829 tells the same of his father, Alexander, killed "some time ago" by a falling tree at Caledon (record): the story may have passed from father to son in the telling, or both may have died that way. He died on 31 October 1849, "in the 32 year of his age," and is named on his parents' stone at the Melville White Church, Caledon, "erected by Halket Pattullo, A.D. 1855."
