Married Ralph Hatten in Jackson County, Ohio, on 1 July 1847 (source), and went with him to Minnesota, where her mother, Ruth Cheeseman, was living by 1857. A probable elder sister, Parmelie (Philbrick) Radcliff Howell, born in Ohio in 1820, lived at Green Vale, Dakota County, and told of "being obliged to travel five hundred miles by ox team" (Neill, History of Dakota County, 1881, p. 391).
Research: Notable connections of Patricia Hatten (1940-2009): the paternal Hatten line.
