What it says

Compiled genealogy, read in the archive.org full text (whose digits are often misread). No. 107: “JOHN WHEELER, son of George (100) and Katherine —. Born at Concord, Mass., Jan. 19, 1643; died Sept. 27, 1713. Married March 25, 1663-4, Sarah Larkin, who was born Jan. 13, 1647; died Aug. 12, 1725, dau. of Edward Larkin and Joanna ( ) Larkin. He was made constable at Concord in 1684.” Children: Samuel 1664, Sarah 1666, Edward 1669, “JOANNA WHEELER, born Dec. 21, 1671; d. young,” Mary 1673, Lydia 1675, Esther 1678, Ebenezer and Thankful (twins) 1682.

The book’s “d. young” for Joanna is contradicted by the Beverly records, where Joanna, “Wheler of Concord,” married William Woodbury in 1689 and died a widow in 1748, aged 76.
