Notes

Yeoman of Claydon, Oxfordshire, in Goldthwaite’s pedigree of the English Boremans. His father’s will of 1610 left him, on condition, “the Cubberd the Table the malte myll the furnace the Doo kevers the yeelinge fatt & meshinge lome & the greate (s)pitt” (malting and brewing gear), and the £5 he owed, for his children.

He left no will. A “full inventory” was taken on 8 Mar 1627/8, “the day before his funeral,” listing horses, cows, “seventy-nine sheep” and poultry. His widow’s administration account of 12 Apr 1630 shows that their son Felix lived in London (Goldthwaite pp. 93-94).

Mollie's typescript· 1 passage

What Mollie wrote about him in The Holbrook and Low Families.

  1. Mollie says he married Elizabeth Carter of Claydon and farmed on a larger scale than his father.

Thomas Boreman (4) married Elizabeth Carter daughter of Felix ... They had a large farm, an "old woll bed, and 7 kushions". His property exceeded that of his father.
