Notes
Wife of Thomas Boreman of Claydon. Her sister Julian married Christopher Boreman; their son Samuel Boreman settled at Wethersfield, Connecticut. Her mother’s will left “to my daughter Elizabeth Boreman a joyned stole and 2 joyned cheyre.”
After her husband died in 1628 she ran the farm; Goldthwaite says “Mrs. Boreman must have ably managed the farm.” Her will of 27 Apr 1631 was made “shortly before her death, and while sick.” Its provision for maintaining her son Daniel, matched by Thomas of Ipswich’s provision for “my Brother Daniell,” is what “clearly prove[s] that the emigrant Thomas was her son” (Goldthwaite p. 94).
Mollie's typescript
