Elizabeth Holcombe

Also Elizabeth Eno

Wife of Thomas Holcombe of Windsor, Connecticut, and after his death, from 1658, of James Eno the barber, whose son James married her granddaughter Abigail Bissell. Probably the mother of Abigail (Holcomb) Bissell. She was presumably the woman fined in 1665 for selling cider to the Indians, and she died at Windsor in October 1679; her maiden name is unknown.

Notes

Wife of Thomas Holcombe and, from 1658, of James Eno the barber; her maiden name is unknown. She died in October 1679, “bu. the 8th day” (Windsor Old Church Record, as Stiles prints it, source). It was presumably she whom the town fined, through her husband, in 1665 “for selling cider to the Indians.”
