Abigail Bissell

Also Abigail Eno

Wife of James Eno, whom she married at Windsor, Connecticut, in 1678, and probably the mother of Sgt. James Enos, a founder of Union. Born at Windsor in 1661, probably a daughter of Samuel Bissell and Abigail Holcomb; her husband's stepmother was her own grandmother, the widow of Thomas Holcombe. She died in 1728 and is buried at Simsbury.

Daughter of Samuel Bissell and Abigail Holcomb of Windsor; wife of James Eno. Buried at Simsbury (source). Through her the Enoses descend from both John Bissell of the ferry and Thomas Holcombe. Her husband’s stepmother was her own grandmother: James Eno the barber had married Thomas Holcombe’s widow.
