Notes
Sgt. James Enos, a founder of Union, Connecticut. “James Enos was one of the original proprietors of the town of Union and the only one who actually settled in the town. His name is sixth in the list of twelve persons, all from Windsor, to whom the legislature of Connecticut deeded the town of Union … He lived in the south part of town on the hillside between the Matthew Paul place and the one now occupied by Fred Barber.” He married Mary Grant on 5 Apr 1703 (she died the next March) and Hannah Phelps on 15 July 1708 (source, source).
