Margaret Carter
Probably the wife of Felix Carter of Claydon, married there in 1570, and the mother of Elizabeth (Carter) Boreman and of Julian, who married Christopher Boreman; her maiden name is unknown. Her children were baptized at Claydon from 1577 to 1591. She outlived Felix by about a year and a half and made a nuncupative will in October 1621.

Wife of Felix Carter (Goldthwaite); maiden name unknown. The Claydon register records her children’s baptisms from Peter (1577) to Richard (1591). She outlived Felix by about a year and a half; her daughter Julian Boreman and family were “probably living with her and caring for her” (Goldthwaite p. 132). Her nuncupative will is dated 14 Oct 1621 and her inventory 12 Nov 1621; the will was not proved until 6 Apr 1624.
