Notes

Wife of Henry Wheeler of Salisbury; “a wid., of Boston, 1696” (Hoyt).

She was the eldest of the twelve children of William Allen and Ann Goodale, born 1639/40-1658/9. Her sister Martha married Richard Hubbard, who later deeded Salisbury property to her as “Abigail Wheeler of Boston, wid. of Henry Wheeler” (Hoyt).

She and Henry Wheeler had twelve children between 1659 and 1685, among them the twins Ann (later the wife of Thomas Riggs Jr. of Gloucester) and James, born 27 May 1667 (Savage 4:497).

Checked against the records

  • Disproven
Henry Wheeler's widow was Widow Ann Wheeler of Boston, 1696

Hoyt names the widow of Boston in 1696 as Abigail: Henry's wife Abigail Allen, as Mollie's own chart has her.
