Treats the maiden name of Mercy, wife of Lt. Matthias Ellis, as unknown, and summarises a 9 June 1704 deed in which Benjamin Nye provided for “daughter Mercy.” Reports (after Paulick) that the claim that Lt. John Ellis was a son of John Ellis and Blandina Masterson of Sandwich, Kent, is disproven. Reads Edmund Freeman’s first marriage as 26 June 1617.

Also Addams-139 (Simon Adams, Augustine Walker’s son-in-law and overseer: baptised at Great Amwell 1571, free of the Drapers 1596, married Dorothy Walker 1599; his will, proved 1645, left money to the poor of Much Amwell).

Also Howland-21 (John Howland: his parents Henry and Margaret Howland of Fenstanton; deputy about thirty years between 1641 and 1667; the Hocking affair; the colony’s record of his death) and Isaac Howland’s marriage to Elizabeth, daughter of George Vaughan, by 1677 (citing TAG 23:24-26).
