Katherine Tupper
Wife of Benjamin Nye, whom she married at Sandwich, Plymouth Colony, on 19 Oct 1640; possibly baptised at Petworth, Sussex, in 1620. Probably a daughter of Thomas Tupper and his wife Anne, and probably the mother of Mercy, who married Matthias Ellis.

Notes
Married Benjamin Nye at Sandwich, 19 Oct 1640 (PCR 1:153): “Benjamin Nye and Katherne Tupper marryed the xixth october 1640.” Benjamin Nye’s deed of 9 June 1704, as summarised on WikiTree, was made for keeping “himself, his wife Katherine and daughter Mercy in their infirmity,” so she was living then; the deed’s wording has not been seen.
Hilder, Nye and Shaw (NEHGR 159, 2005, read only in Sibert’s summary) point to a “Katherin” baptised at Petworth, Sussex, on 30 July 1620, daughter of a Thomas Tupper who married Agnes Wedson at Tillington in 1614. She is a candidate only. Pane-Joyce gives her death as 4 June 1676, but that is her mother Anne’s date. The “11 Jan 1623” birth date in online trees has no source.
