What it says
Found 9 Oct 2026. With his photograph, “D. N. Morilon”:
“AN 8TH AIR FORCE BOMBER STATION, England, Nov. 24 (Special)—Promotion of Douglas N. Morilon, 28, Portland, from flight officer to second lieutenant has been announced by Col. Frank P. Bostrom, commanding the Flying Fortress group in which Lt. Morilon is a bombardier. Lt. Morilon, son of J. R. Morilon, 4945 N. E. Everett street, Portland, prior to entering the army in September, 1942, was an electrician for Oregon Shipbuilding corporation. His wife, Mrs. Bernice M. Morilon, lives at 5120 S. E. 43d avenue, Portland.”
His father, John R. Morilon, was living in Portland in 1944; Douglas’s marriage of 1945 calls him
divorced, so Bernice was a first wife (marriage-return-morilon-garton-1945).
