What it says
Two water-damaged pages of a register of marriages, with the minister’s name for each, filed
behind the archivist’s card “Water Damage.” This is probably the same volume as the 1826-1827
register (marriage-register-clay-county-minister-1826-1827).
Page 20, “Register of Marriages 1829,” runs from January to December 1829. Its last entry is:
1829 December. Hiram Collins & Elizabeth Read. J. Ambrose [?]
So it is the return of the marriage the general index dates 8 Dec 1829
(marriage-register-clay-county-kentucky), by the same minister as the double wedding of 1827,
J. Ambres (Ambrose).
Below it are entries of 1836, 1837 and 1835, and page 21 continues with 1830 and the “Returned” marriages of 1837 and 1839.
