What it says
“COLLINS, MEREDITH, Ancestor # A024535. Service: VIRGINIA, rank SOLDIER. Birth: circa 1760. Death: post 1841, Pike Co., Kentucky.” Service source: Kegley, Militia of Montgomery Co, VA, 1777-1790, p. 23, Capt. James McDaniell, Montgomery Co Militia.
Member applications descend through two children: William (spouse Molly Hatfield; Nat’l Nos. 562294 and 661999) and Bradley (spouse “X X,” unknown; nine or more numbers). None runs through Jesse.
The Bradley-line descendant preview gives Meredith and “(1st)” wife Polly Holloway > Bradley Collins, b. 1787 Virginia, d. “(post) 29 Nov 1850,” Appanoose Co, Iowa (the date of the 1850 census sheet, not a death record) > Andrew Collins, b. c. 1811 Kentucky, m. Betsy Ann Sizemore 31 Mar 1838, Clay Co, Kentucky, d. c. 1875, Scott Co, Missouri. Naming Polly as Bradley’s mother is wrong: she was about seven when he was born.
