What it says

Quotes the 1979 Gasconade County History (Missouri): William Hollingsworth and his wife Rhoda (Reed?) homesteaded 80 acres on 16 December 1840 and 120 acres on 1 March 1841; the family came through Ashe County NC, Clay County KY and Morgan County IN. It names their children’s spouses, including James (wife Martha “Patsey” Read), Susan (husband Larkin Henson) and Charity (husband James Henson). It says William’s brother Isaac died in Morgan County in 1840, and that Rhoda was full-blooded Cherokee, which the memorial’s maintainer disputes.

The memorial gives Rhoda’s birth as 1780 in Ashe County, which did not exist until 1799, and her death in 1873. The maintainer states that DNA shows Stephen Reed Sr was Rhoda’s father; the DNA evidence is not shown.
