What it says
Pasture land near Seth Harlow’s homestead by the Training field, a right in Harlow’s Cedar Swamp, and woodland, all “decended to us from our Mother Phebe Ellis Decd who was formerly Phebe Stephens,” for $18 paid “by our Brother George Ellis Jun.r of Plymouth … Mariner.”
The grantors (read from the image): “Elisha Morton & Sarah his wife of Hebron at the Eastward, Azel Thomas & Phebe his wife of Middleborough, Polly Ellis, Richard Blackmore & Nancy his wife, Zeba [?] Ellis, Stephen Ellis & George Ellis all of Plymouth, Mattathias Ellis of Wareham … & Isaac Ellis of said Middleborough.” The signatures include Mattathias Ellis, Azel Thomas, Phebe Thomas, Richard Blackmer, “Nancy Ellis Blackmer” and Stephens Ellis. Richard Blackmer and Nancy acknowledged it 17 Jan 1806.
The second “George Ellis” among the grantors is unexplained; it may be the father. Sarah Harlow appears with Rosseter Cotton among the witnesses, not the grantors.
